Probate Administration

Probate administration is the legal process through which a deceased person’s estate is settled. It involves several key steps with a very specific timetable to ensure that the will is allowed, the deceased’s assets are properly managed, debts and taxes are paid, disputes are handled, and the remaining assets are distributed to beneficiaries or heirs who may be confirmed by the Court.
At Loughran & Corbett, we understand that navigating the legal complexities of the probate process can be especially challenging during the emotional and overwhelming period after the loss of a loved one.
Our experienced team will assist in taking on the detailed administrative tasks, such as handling the extensive paperwork of drafting and filing petitions, sending out the required Notices and other legal documents reducing the risk of costly errors or delays. We will also manage the affairs of the Estate, Estate tax filings, handling creditor claims, asset valuation, and the distribution of assets during the probate process allowing you to focus on grieving and other personal matters. Further, if any disputes arise between heirs and/or beneficiaries, our office is well equipped to act as a mediator and act on your behalf to resolve conflicts and minimize the likelihood of costly litigation.
